Advanced EMT Employment Opportunity
The town of South Hero Rescue Department is hiring an AEMT to serve as a crew chief. This position may be part-time or full-time, with flexible hours. Starting pay is $21.50/hr.
This is a leadership position; providing medical care and directing volunteer rescue members.
Additional tasks will include:
• daily ambulance check and routine cleaning
• performing necessary tasks for service billing and other administrative duties
• organizing and leading training for rescue crews

HOW TO Become A Member
We are always looking for volunteers to join us in our mission to provide the community with emergency medical services. South Hero Rescue cannot operate without the commitment of dedicated volunteers.
To join, no prior medical experience is required or expected. We reimburse volunteers with all of the costs associated with obtaining a Vermont Emergency First Responder (VEFR), Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) and/or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification. With additional training, members can also obtain an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) certification.
There are also auxiliary and non-medical positions available, such as ambulance drivers or junior members.
